Welcome To ANZCED 2009

The Educators of Deaf Students Association Inc (EDSA Inc) on behalf of The National Association of the Australian Teachers of the Deaf Inc. (NAATD Inc.) invites you to Brighton Beach, Sydney, during the 10th to 12th July 2009 to participate in the 25th "Australian and New Zealand Conference for Educators of the Deaf"(ANZCED). The venue is the Novotel, Brighton Beach overlooking Botany Bay, 18km from the Sydney CBD and 5 minutes from Sydney Airport surrounded by beach, cafes and restaurants.

The ANZCED 2009 Organising Committee has been working to ensure that a comprehensive and stimulating program, that has significant practical relevance, is presented to cater for all professionals and parents associated with the education of Deaf and Hearing Impaired children. We are sure you will be pleased with the program format which includes specialist workshops on the Friday and keynote addresses and concurrent paper presentations on the Saturday and Sunday.

We would like you to contribute to the conference by submitting a paper for the concurrent sessions, prepare a poster or contribute to the trade exhibition.

We encourage you to come to Sydney in July 2009 and enjoy the company of your colleagues and friends from both Australia, New Zealand and from overseas. Join us on the Friday following the workshop sessions for the Welcome Reception and then join all participants on the Saturday morning for a wholesome breakfast with the Opening and Keynote presentations – and the good news is that all of this is included in the registration fee. Morning/Afternoon tea and lunch will also be provided on the Saturday and Sunday. An optional dinner will be held on the Saturday evening.

The Organising Committee firmly believes presentations will demonstrate to educators how to achieve "Real Learning - Real Outcomes, Foundations for Life" (our theme for ANZCED 2009), for our deaf and hearing impaired students.

A warm welcome awaits you at beautiful Brighton Beach next July for ANZCED 2009.
